Hosting and Facilitation
I have been engaged in the practice of creating and holding containers for groups for 16 years; I began as a young person facilitating multigenerational “know your rights” trainings and I have continued to be nourished by being in community and supporting people in this way. Whether I am supporting the small staff of a nonprofit to reflect and chart new directions together over a weekend or inviting Black people in community to grieve together around the loss of land and gentrification for half a day, I am energized by listening for the most fitting container to support the work that is wanting to happen. While I am able to craft and host basic workshops and retreats for mass consumption, I am most excited about working with collaborators to craft a custom experience that can uniquely serve the needs and desires of participants. When needed, I can assemble a team of talented, experienced, and creative facilitators for larger groups and programs.
My special sauce when hosting spaces is integrating the medicine and magic of the land, working with ancestors as co-conspirators, offering hand-crafted plant medicines to support the work happening, listening deeply, and being responsive in the moment when things need to adjust. Whether you need help developing content or support to include a healing justice framework to your space, I am happy to collaborate with relevant existing programs. While I enjoy hosting intercultural spaces with the care and grace needed to allow various cultural lineages to deeply share space, I also love hosting and participating in identity specific spaces around Blackness, queer sexualities, gender variation, and more. Contact me to see what we can conjure up!
