About
I am a gender expansive liberationist medicine person who has been practicing healing for myself and my communities for over ten years. I am guided and influenced by my ancestors, orishas and lwa, my Black Southern lineage, Haitian and African traditional religious practices, the work of beloved ancestor Sobonfu Somé, plants and nature, minerals, celestial bodies, and the elements. As a highly sensitive intuitive medium, my jam is inviting and supporting collective and individual grief work with ritual and practices, and supporting the dead to transition with grace and dignity. I am also passionate about healing from personal, ancestral, and place-based trauma caused by systems of oppression, traumatic events, and trauma-based relationships. I offer my clients divination sessions that allow them to access guidance from their ancestors, practical advice to ease challenges to healing, support for empathic and highly sensitive folks, and much more.
I have been an intersectional organizer for over 15 years and nothing excites me more than getting free. While you won’t find me on the front lines these days, I am passionate about hosting spaces to support the resiliency and sustainability of organizers, movement spaces, and our intersecting movements in general.
I am also an artist creating my way to liberation and healing, and a parent learning on the job how to parent in community. I’m passionate about being in loving reciprocal relationship with land and being paid reparations in the form of land, other assets, and money. Paying and receiving reparations facilitates ancestral healing on both ends, so let’s heal together. If you are a person who is Black, make it easier for people to get money to you. If you are a person who is white or who benefits from anti-Blackness and has access to resources because of this, give money, land, labor, and other resources to Black people.

My Work
Equitable Economics…
Because the legacies of enslavement and systemic oppression have tilted the scales of access against African and First Nations descended people, other people of color, all genders besides cis men, undocumented people, and people with varied physical and cognitive abilities, I find it necessary to account for this when engaging in commerce. I want my products and services to be utilized by people most often denied access, so I create greater access for those people by how I set prices and structure exchange. (click to read more)
I offer three ways to increase access to my work for individuals and organizations or groups: sliding scale, trade, and gift economy. Most of my rates for services are situated on a scale that allows you to pay at your level of access on that scale. For fellow practitioners, creatives, and makers I offer trade for relevant products or services. Folks who have access to goods or materials that I can use in my healing or creative practices or in my general life can exchange with me through gift economy. If none of these options create an access point for you, contact me and we can find one together.
Some things I’m seeking for trade exchange are massage therapy and other kinds of bodywork, acupuncture, herbalism, herbs, astrology support, divination, visual art, wearable art, candle making, handmade jewelry.
Some things I’m seeking for gift economy exchange are plants, bulk wholesale seven day candles, fresh or dried herbs, crystals, feathers, bones, fresh or dried flowers (especially roses), incense, resins, carrier oils, essential oils, water from natural sources (oceans, lakes, rivers, waterfalls).
If you have access to or offer something I haven’t listed here, contact me and let’s see if we can make an equitable exchange!
Grief Work
I am extremely passionate about working with grief and supporting other people to work with grief. Through my own study and practice, I have learned how grief is stored in the body and is related to trauma that is also stored in the body. I have also learned that moving grief out of the body by allowing oneself to go to a primal, wordless place can open the way for increased pleasure and a greater capacity for joy. My grief work allows me to follow in the footsteps of teachers and medicine people I revere like Sobonfu Somé and gina Breedlove who have both taught me so much about the dangers as well as the miraculous possibilities of both ignoring and tending to grief. I think the most effective way to be working with grief is through consistent practice. (click to read more)
Being in a practice with our grief is an important way to tend to our mental and emotional health as well as our spiritual hygiene. When we allow our grief to build up without being released, it can cause physical illness and contribute to depression. Likewise, when we move grief consistently as a practice, not only do we make more space in our own bodies, but we also can move the grief held in the bodies of our ancestors and passed down to us through our DNA and heal our lineages across time. This kind of practice can be essential for highly sensitive people who easily pick up the grief of other people or the collective.
It is my prayer that more and more people become awake to the compacted grief in their bodies that impedes their healing and transformation and inhibits the full spectrum of pleasure and joy that is possible. May we all become awake and grieve that which has been stuffed down and ignored for generations, thereby creating more ease and possibilities for future generations.
